During the last few weeks we have seen a large influx of customers using WL Member and everyone has been creating a wide variety of different memberships.  As such, a lot of people have been using new themes, different server types and payment processors which have created a need to make a variety of universal updates.  Along the way we also added a couple other simple features to make using WL Member a little easier to use :)

Here are some of the changes…

New Features

  • Added bulk Content Protection under “Membership Management”. To access it, just select “Content Protection” from the drop down menu.
  • Login redirection now works also for admins. If an admin logs in via widget, then they are redirected to the proper redirect page. If they log-in via /wp-admin then redirection is handled by WordPress
  • Added the total number of members in the WL Member Dashboard
  • Added “Check All Membership Levels” in post/page WL Member section.

Bug Fix

  • Comments are now properly hidden based on Content Management settings. Here’s how it works…
    • Everybody (including non-members) can access comments on unprotected posts
    • Users can only access comments if they have both access to the post and comments
  • Comments are now also properly managed for the WordPress Recent Comments Widget
  • Fixed bug where registration URL returns 404 when parameters are appended to it (this would generally happen when using PayPal)
  • Fixes a problem with 1ShoppingCart. 1SC doesn’t want thank you URLs that do not have “.php” at the end.  WL Member now accomodates for this by appending .php to the end of the 1SC thank you URL. 1SC users will also need to update their thank you URLs.
  • Fixed bug where membership info gets lost when admin edits a user and the WordPress language is anything but English.

Version now is 1.51. Uploaded and live.

It is encouraged that all WL Member customers update their versions as soon as possible.

Updating to the latest version is easy.  Just download it from your WL Member dashboard, unzip and upload to your “plugins” folder.  You do NOT need to deactivate the plugin and no data will be lost or changed.
