Do I need a Webmaster to install this for me on my site?
It depends. If you feel comfortable with uploading a folder via FTP to the plugins folder on your blog you will be ok. The only other step that is required is to login to the plugins area of your WordPress Blog and click the activate plugin. You'll need your license code and then you are ready to use the Membership Management System.

Will this system work with my Shopping Cart?
We currently integrate FULLY with PayPal, 1ShoppingCart and QuickPayPro (Cydec). But, we also offer a SIMPLE integration option as well.
What FULL integration means is that if a member cancels their payment in the online shopping cart it will communicate with WishList Member and block that user's membership.
We are currently in the works of making FULL integration with as many online payment options as possible, but cannot give a specific time frame on each one at this time.
Currently, FULL integration is available for:
PayPal
ClickBank
QuickPayPro (Cydec)With that being said, WishList Member does offer SIMPLE Integration with all online payment options.
What this means is that if a user cancels payment or doesn't pay for some reason you will have to manually cancel them within WishList Member.

Can I use this to deliver Sequential Content or Time Delayed content for my membership site?
Yes, first of all let's be clear on what Sequential Content or Time Delayed Content is. That is when you create a set of content or course and you want someone to get part of it in the first month or period of their membership. Then in the second month or period of their membership they get the next level. For example you can set it up so that someone goes from module 1 to module 2 to module 3 and so on.
This comes in very handy if you want to set up a Trial Membership and then automatically upgrade the user to a higher level at the end of the Trial Period.
We have created a way for this to happen automatically based on the number of days that you specify in your billing period.

Can I use this on more than one site at a time?
Yes and No. It depends on the license version that you purchased. If you purchased a single license version then our License and Activation system will issue you a license that can only be used on a single URL. You can always move it to another URL at a later date, but it can only be used on one URL at a time.
If you purchased a Multi-Site License then you can use it on an unlimited number of your own personal URLs. You'll use the same activation license key for each URL.
Please note that the Multi-Site license is not intended for webmasters to install on sites for their clients.

Will this continue to work if I install a new version of WordPress on my blog?
Yes. We are dedicated to making sure our system works with all new releases of WordPress. If a modification needs to be made we will issue an update as quickly as possible to ensure that our system works when WordPress updates their system.

How easy is it to update the WishList Member plugin when you release updates?
Very simple. When we issue a new updated version you'll simply upload that into your plugins folder and overwrite the previous version. You will not need to reactivate your system or do anything else. Once it is uploaded it will work.

How many levels of membership can I have with this Membership System?
Unlimited. We created WL Member to be as flexible as possible, so we felt it best to allow an unlimited number of membership levels.

Can I protect different parts of my site for different levels of membership with this system?
Yes, you can. You can make it protect total categories or individual posts. You can even protect parts of a post for different levels.
You can also make part of a post available to the public to view and then add a tag to read more. When someone clicks to read more, you can present them with the option to register for the level needed to view the content if desired.
You can also customize the page that they viewer sees if they click on content that they do not have access to. This is called the Non-Members page.

Can I move members from one level to another?
Yes. You can move an individual to another membership level or multiple members to a different level at one time.
You can also move an entire membership level to another level at one time. If you have a membership level that you are going to quit supporting and you want to move that entire group to a different level, you can do this with a few simple clicks.

I lost my License and Activation Key. How can I get the key again?
Enter a support ticket and we'll be glad to you send you a new copy of it. Be sure to include the email address that was used to purchase the license.

If I purchase the single site license now, will I have an opportunity to upgrade to a multi-site license later?
Yes you can upgrade your license afterwards and the cost is $247. So it will cost you an extra $47 by choosing to upgrade at a later date so you'll save a few dollars by selecting the Multi-Site license the first time around.
Essentially once your payment has gone through for the upgrade, you will be sent a new activation key that will upgrade your license to a multi-site license.

Do you have an affiliate program for WishList Member?
Yes, we have an affiliate for WP WishList. WishList Member is the first product that is available for promotion within the affiliate program. There will be more coming soon.

Do I have to do anything like modify the database structure in my WordPress install to get this to work?
No. With the WishList Member system you will upload it to your site into the plugins folder of your WordPress install. Then you'll login as an administrator. You'll click a link to activate the system. You'll need to enter the license key that you are issued immediately after you purchase. Once you do that, you'll be all set. You will not need to modify your database structure at all. The system will do it all for you.

I tried to purchase and my credit card declined. What can I do?
The most common reason for a credit card declining is a result of your card being issued from a Non-U.S. Bank. Our merchant account and payment gateway use an Address Verification System. If your bank does not send back the same address information that was typed into the order section on the transaction it will fail and come back as a declined order. Many times overseas credit cards do not support this type of Address Verification so it will fail no matter how many times you try it.
One thing you can do to purchase is choose the PayPal option for your transaction. If you don't have a PayPal account you can still go through PayPal and then select to pay with your credit card. The transaction will be charged by PayPal but it will still go through on our order system and you'll be able to place a successful order.
